Seems counter intuitive yes?

But in 2019 sales of electric cars doubled in the UK, which is good news.

Yet car-related emissions increased for the third year running, which is clearly bad news.

There are a number of reasons for this, but perhaps most significant is the fact that for every electric car sold nearly 40 gas guzzling SUVs hit the road.

Some people are clearly not listening.
