Enough of the Covid-washing advertising please

Cadbury have just released a lovely ad celebrating community spirit under Covid, and asking that we don't forget the lessons of this when everything returns to normal.


Fine words from the chocolate maker speaking to a real truth. But they still leave a bad taste. Why? Because there's a much better way than making nice, slightly patronising ads that Cadbury could support the community. BY PAYING TAXES! Owner Mondelez paid just £271,000 in UK tax last year despite sales of £1.7billion.


That's 0.016% of sales and 0.8% of profits if you're interested.
