Over the lockdown period we've seen many brands offering up self-serving 'thoughts and prayers' ads, usually full of empty streets and promising a return to normal soon.
Aside from being visual wallpaper, each of these begs a question about the nature of 'normal'. Something XR look to answer in this film (sure they wouldn't suggest it was an ad!), which makes much more compelling use of our Covid emptied streets.
As we are told how important it is to get back to normal, what we really need to be asking was how 'normal' this normal was to begin with and whether it was actually part of the problem.
